Peoria's Youth Programs provides before and after school programs licensed by the Department of Health Services, offered at Peoria Unified School District Elementary campuses for students ages 5-14. This is an excellent opportunity for a childcare provider to collaborate with school personnel to develop a growing program. This can be accomplished by assisting the Recreation Leader I and Recreation Leader II positions with supervising and monitoring of the children with actively participating with them through play and staff led enrichment, such as literacy, arts and crafts, and STEAM projects.

The ideal candidate would be a result oriented, people person who must be 21 years or older, and qualifies as a site director under DHS regulation. The Youth Program is looking for individuals with excellent customer service to all program patrons and participants, by exemplifying a positive attitude and exceeding the needs of patrons and participants. Preferred staff will be able to work Monday through Friday and wants to contribute to the City of Peoria's vision. You will have to be able to acquire a Fingerprint Clearance Card, CPR/First Aid certificate, a valid negative TB test result, and have or gain an understanding of DHS guidelines and practices.
