We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Senior Air Force Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME).

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As the Senior Air Force Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME), responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:

  • Work in a small, highly motivated team using the latest software and hardware technology to develop new products, concepts, and ideas.
  • Work with our team of advanced military simulation experts to lead technical designs and develop system architectures for Air Force DMO related efforts.
  • Provide Air Force technical expertise for integration of operational level live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) systems.
  • Assess, design, and assist in the implementation of high-level networking architecture to create Air Force LVC integrated systems.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Air Force DMO exercises, event execution and mission management, and DTC operations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Air Force DMO standards, interactions and interoperability among simulations - especially interoperability among legacy and more modern simulations.
  • Provide assistance and expertise in cybersecurity related issues surrounding Air Force DMO.
  • Support the full testing and deployment lifecycle of our developed DMO products.
  • Perform research on the best available techniques and toolsets to solve complex problems.
  • Communicate status and issues to team peers, program management and the CTO.
  • Conduct presentations and demonstrations to our internal and external customers.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, modeling and simulation, networking, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience working in Air Force advanced simulations.
  • Knowledge and experience working within the Air Force DMO environment.
  • Strong background working with software development teams.
  • Strong background in LVC modeling and simulation with emphasis on interoperability and data exchange.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, ability to obtain a U.S. secret and potentially Top Secret clearance is required.
  • Ability to support technical proposals with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical-thinking skills to develop, adjust, and successfully carry out advanced military simulation designs and lead a development team to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to teammates and management.
  • Ability to collaborate with different teams to ensure positive technical results while balancing goals, approaches, and risks.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support demonstrations and deployments.

PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Direct experience providing interoperability solutions for distributed Air Force simulations.
  • Direct experience solving networking and cybersecurity issues related to Air Force DMO.
  • Direct experience capturing Air Force requirements, refining, documenting, and communicating those requirements to a technical team of software developers.
  • Experience with Air Force Large Force Employment exercises.
  • Experience working with a CMMI ML3 or above software development environment.
