Job Summary
Provides in-person and/or virtual instruction to adults to successfully acquire the knowledge necessary to pass the National Retail Federation's Retail Industry Fundamentals certification exam and prepare for careers in the retail industry. Content includes customer service, retail management, and industry math and vocabulary, while incorporating career readiness activities and job preparation. Students participating in these courses are concurrently enrolled in High School Equivalency or English language acquisition classes to transition to college or career pathways. Utilizes and integrates technology in the classroom and follows required curriculum and Arizona Adult Education Standards for instruction.
Essential Functions
80% - Instructs adults in fundamentals of the retail industry including - customer service, retail management, and industry math and vocabulary 10% - Maintains accurate student records, enrollment in Penn Foster, required forms and documents, attendance hours, and other documents as required by the program 10% - Engages in job-embedded professional learning
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education or related degree
OR
Five years of occupational experience in the field to be taught
OR
Three years of occupational experience in the field to be taught and a Bachelor's degree.
