NaphCare is hiring an experienced Dental Hygienist like you at the Arizona Department of Corrections located in Goodyear, Arizona. Full Time Shifts, Part Time, PRN shifts are available. PRN shifts and hours vary based on coverage needs for FT shifts and will be determined by site leadership and prn employee availability.

Pay rates range from $40.00-$56.00 per hour, based on employment status, shift, specific facility, site needs, licensure, and experience. Shifts and hours vary based on coverage needs and can be discussed upon interview.

Responsibilities for Dental Hygienist:

• Provide dental prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, application of fluoride and/or other services on patients.
• Complete periodontal charting and, obtain other diagnostic records on patients.
• Perform facial and oral tissue and oral cancer screenings during exams.
• Provide thorough individualized oral hygiene instructions and/or other post-operative instructions to patients.
• Monitor oral hygiene and periodontal conditions on each patient.
• Assist the Dentists when needed.
• Take dental x-rays and/or impressions.
• Sterilize dental instruments.
• Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping protected health information (PHI) confidential.
• Maintain dental supply inventory by regularly checking the stock to determine appropriate inventory levels.

Qualifications for Dental Hygienist:

• Current Certification from an accredited Hygiene Program
• Dental radiology certification and anesthesia certification are required
• Current CPR Certification
