Job Summary

Responsible for Early Outreach Program front desk administrative support. Provides a high level of customer service and confidentiality. Manages office in-person traffic as well as phone, email, and chat. In addition, is responsible for responding to inquiries about events on campus and other support services. The work will be directed by the Director of Early Outreach Program.

  • FWS is a need-based, federally funded program.
  • FWS requires the completion of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and confirmation of federal work-study eligibility as determined by the financial aid office.
  • FWS does not directly pay for tuition, and funds are only available to eligible students attending a minimum of six (6) degree applicable hours in a federal student aid eligible program.
  • The FWS award amount is based on your FAFSA results and college funding availability, which will determine the number of hours available to work while supporting the students academic goals.

Essential Functions
  • Must be a current student for the 2023-2024 academic year at Glendale Community College
  • Self-motivated, professional, and a team player
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills
  • Be available to work up to 19.5 hours per week
  • Be available to work Saturdays during the Fall and Spring semesters
  • Maintain confidentiality of students and maintain appropriate relationships
