Responsibilities

In your job, you will have the ability to make a difference in a patient's journey by:

  • Transcribe the physical examination, clinical impression, and plan, between the patient and physician, in real-time.
  • Provide diagnosis specific new patient educational handouts, edit existing handouts, and create new educational information as needed.
  • Prep new patient information into appropriate progress note in EMR.
  • Conduct online research as requested by physician.
  • Navigate the electronic medical record, PACS, and hospital portals.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Format reports according to established guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment and work area as directed.
  • Recognize and report unusual circumstances and/or information with possible risk factors to supervisor or dictator.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one (1) year of scribe experience (or) graduate from a Scribe Training Program.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • 60 WPM typing proficiency required.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Personable, effective at multitasking, high regard for excellent customer service and sensitivity, and team orientated.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Application, iKnowMed (preferred, but not required) Centricity (preferred, but not required).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with physicians and medical assistants, preferably in a Urology setting.
  • Current CPR certification a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree or other healthcare related coursework including anatomy, physiology and/or medical terminology preferred.

Masks may be requested in all Arizona Oncology facilities regardless of vaccination status. COVID vaccination is recommended.
