Job Summary

South Mountain Community College is hiring for a Program Analyst, Bilingual Nursing Fellowship Program.

This position acts as the primary liaison and support to participants in the Bilingual Nursing Fellowship Program, including recruitment and retention activities. The successful candidate will work with interested students in completing the application process. This position tracks and monitors selected Fellow's progress and provides advising support while working closely with faculty. Responsible for liaising with Phoenix College and completing the transfer process from SMCC to Phoenix College.

Essential Functions

30% - Develop and manage fellowship program reorganization including partnership development, admission protocols, orientation experience, persistence activities, interventions, and transfer process
20% - Plan and implement student service programs including the Student Success Initiative (SSI), new student orientation, Guided Pathways, student recruitment and outreach, student first semester advisement, financial planning and scholarships; trains and mentors students
20% - Manage daily operations of growing program, including conducting research and analysis, interfacing with students and faculty, providing reports, leading strategic planning efforts, developing budgets, utilizing enterprise software, hiring, and supervising work-study student(s)
20% - Collaborate with partner school and faculty to strengthen collaboration, streamline transfer process, and ensure student's readiness and success
10% - Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or directly related field and two years of related program management experience preferably in an educational setting.
OR
An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

1. Two years of experience with program management, including growing and developing new programs.
2. Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish
3. One year of experience in post-secondary admissions, registration, graduate placement and/or enrollment services.
4. One year of experience directing the work of others and/or managing business operations, including budgets.
5. One year of experience developing partnerships and working with a variety of stakeholders such as educational partners, sponsors, consultants or community groups.
6. One year of experience supporting educational needs of a diverse student population.
