Job Summary

Provides a high-level of customer service to students and community members by administering a variety of academic, career, and certification assessments at the Rio Salado College Tempe Testing Center. This position follows strict policies and procedures for online test administration and provides technical support to customers and team members.

Essential Functions

70% - Administers a variety of academic, career, and certification assessments to students and community members at the Rio Salado College Tempe Testing Center. Utilizes various online systems and software while providing a high-level of direct customer service. Acts as the official test proctor for these exams, follows strict policies and procedures. Maintains confidential testing records, databases, exams, and reports, all while working in a team environment. Supports the Tempe Student Services Specialist in ensuring a secure and appropriate testing environment

20% - Assists with technical troubleshooting; provides technical support to students, candidates, part-time staff, and other team members. Utilizes various communication methods to correspond with Faculty, outside departments, and external companies regarding testing issues. Provides general and specific information to students, Faculty, and the public regarding the operation of the testing center. Maintains office systems and procedures; provides general clerical assistance, including answering phones, greeting/directing student/customer traffic

10% - May occasionally grade assessments and assist with virtual proctoring. Travels to other locations for coverage and training. Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and one year of clerical, administrative office support or related experience.

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.

Desired Qualifications

A. Experience working in a customer service environment
B. Experience working with databases, internet applications, various software, and/or providing technical support
C. Experience administering assessments in a Testing Center environment
D. Associate's Degree

Special Working Conditions

The primary location for this position is Rio Salado College Tempe, located at 2323 W. 14 th Street Tempe, AZ 85281. The schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday; Tuesday-Thursday: 10:00am - 7:00pm, Friday/Saturday: 8:00am - 5:00pm, earlier shifts may be required during initial training. Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license is required; must meet minimum standards regarding driving: . May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen. May be required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs.
