Pay Range:

$18-$22/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all samples received by the laboratory are logged in according to the appropriate procedure including labeling, logging, and acknowledging
  • Maintain a clean and organized lab space
  • Preparing reagents, cleaning glassware, organizing/sorting supplies and logging in samples at the direction of the Laboratory Manager
  • Perform a specific analysis, or portion of analysis, at the direction of the Laboratory Manager
  • Report non-conformances to the QAM and Laboratory Manager
  • Knowledge of a bench chemistry associate whose main responsibility is to perform routine operations within a laboratory setting.
  • Specialized in at least one type of analysis for the purposes of improving laboratory workflow.
  • Responsible for following all documented procedures, recording all laboratory notes, and elevating technical issues to the laboratory manager.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or equivalent work experience in Chemistry lab
  • General familiarity with laboratory safety, previous laboratory experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to follow written or verbal instructions
  • Intermediate skill level (or above) in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Professional appearance and behavior
  • Ability to pass a background check

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of a typical laboratory environment
  • Sitting/standing, reaching overhead cabinets
  • Possible light lifting
