This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic DevOps leader to utilize creative problem-solving skills that will drive efficiency and improve processes, practices, and initiatives for the R&D DevOps space at Dematic. This person will work with one or more squads, to provide Infrastructure as a service, and platform support, to various engineering and other stakeholders in the organization. This position will serve as a technical Hands-on DevOps Manager, utilizing experience to identify, create, and deliver innovative and pragmatic solutions, while implementing processes and procedures to address business needs.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $75,000-$165,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This is What You Will do in This Role:

  • Develop, measure, and evolve DevOps and DevSecOps core capabilities following DORA principles.
  • Lead Dematic DevOps community supporting projects with design, planning, and implementation of automation solutions and capabilities around continuous integration and delivery.
  • Own end-to-end responsibility for understanding, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Lead cloud deployment architecture initiatives while collaborating with engineering, architecture board, cloud governance, and other teams, to help mature the adoption of Cloud Platform for Dematic products.
  • Develop, and evolve DevOps, and DevSecOps tools, processes, and talent, collaborating closely with infrastructure team, software development, security, and external providers.
  • Mentor, coach, and evaluate direct reports performance and provide constructive feedback..
  • May assist in live site support and incident resolution.

What We are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science with 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading global engineering teams.
  • Experience leading DevOps teams with CI/CD and IaC automation projects and initiatives.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD and IaC tools and best practices and architectures for high volume/velocity/variety ingestion/storage.
  • 5+ years of work experience using public cloud Infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Kubernetes and Serverless stack built on frameworks like Terraform, Ansible, Helm, etc.
  • 4+ years of experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools like Gitlab, GCP DevOps, Artifactory, etc.
  • Experience with at least one of the major cloud providers, GCP, Azure, AWS; GCP preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in public cloud services working with IaaS, PaaS
  • Experience in implementing reliability measurements like availability, error budgeting, and DevOps metrics like lead time, failure rate, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud monitoring and alert setup with custom metrics and dashboards.
  • Experience working with logistics or industrial automation is preferred but not required
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, self-reliant, self-motivated and possesses a "can do" attitude.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC/AGILE development practices and SCRUM framework.
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to remain calm in tense situations
