Are you a bar back looking to provide exceptional guest service at one of the newest rooftop lounges in Tempe? You have come to the right place!

Skysill Rooftop Lounge soars 18 stories above the city of Tempe as the Valley's highest open-air rooftop bar. During the day, this chic venue offers a hip, relaxing daytime escape with its rooftop pool overlooking the vast Sonoran Desert. As the sun sets over the Arizona horizon, Skysill then transitions to a luxurious lounge where all levels of service and premium cocktails are elevated. With panoramic views of the Greater Phoenix area, set your sights on Skysill Rooftop Lounge.

As a bar back, you will assist the bartender with stocking, cleanliness, equipment handling and maintenance. When necessary, serve food and beverages for the guests and service staff. All functions are carried out to maintain an environment of teamwork and to provide outstanding service to our guests. You'll act as an advocate for the bar at Skysill.

What will you be doing?

  • Greet and welcome our guests.
  • Check the service stations and tables to ensure accurate set-up and cleanliness.
  • Assist the restaurant dining services (if necessary), when and where appropriate.
  • Perform all necessary side work, setup, and breakdown of the bar.
  • Clean and change trash cans, fill and clean ice bins, stock beer, wine, juice, and other beverages.
  • Clean shelving, stainless steel, mixers, cups, blenders and soda guns.
  • Unpack deliveries, stock bar and change beer kegs.
  • Notify a manager if a guest is becoming intoxicated or rude to other guests.

What experience do you need?

  • Must have the ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Can communicate well with guests.
  • Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
  • Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
