Clinical Dietitian Job

Description

Provides medical nutrition therapy via individualized and/or group sessions by assessing nutritional status, developing nutrition recommendations, instructing patients in diet modifications, and providing follow up care as needed. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required. The individual may be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team and take a lead role in process and procedure development and the organization of the GI clinic and Home TPN program. Department: Food and Nutrition


Qualifications: Minimum Education and/or Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field is required; master's degree preferred. Additional Experience and/or Qualifications: One to five years of previous clinical experience preferred. Licensure/Certification Required: Certification as a Registered Dietitian by the American Dietetic Association required within four months of hire. Must obtain Certified Nutritional Support Dietician (CNSD) or Certified Nutritional Support Clinician (CNSC) credential within six months of hire for the GI Dietitian position.

Salary: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $19.22 per hour.
